I had a client tell me, ‘We need to treat our website and social media like a part-time employee. They are working for us, they are recruiting customers. Why not pay them, keep them fresh, keep them topical and keep them interesting?’
That’s what I want to do for clients.

Video Transcript:

Gifford Video is based in the Milwaukee area. What we do is simple. We help small and medium size businesses promote their products or services. We do that through video. We produce short videos that can go on a website and/or social media of any kind. Additionally,  I can make some video loops for clients which can be displayed either in-store or in-company, trade show videos, career fair videos. You name it we can do it.

So, how does that work? Well, you are witnessing part of that. I am on camera, talking about my business. That is what we try to get business owners to do -- go on camera and talk about their services, products, events, causes, whatever it may be. If they can get on camera they are more passionate about their product than anybody, they can sell it better than anybody. It adds credibility and quite frankly, people get to know them through their website or social media.

We have a wide range of clients. Everything from real estate where we showcase multi-million dollar properties and not just in Wisconsin. We have worked with sheet metal companies where we have done training videos to demonstrate skills needed for roof and wall construction. Also, one of the largest landscape/nurseries in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois promoting their plant stock and services. Even golf courses interested in a hole-by-hole video and an overview that shows some of their signature holes. Even a pet supply store -- that one was a lot of fun -- showing all of the services they provide.

People like to know who they are working with. Personally, I have 30+ years in TV news, the last 20 of which were here in Milwaukee, WI. I covered major news events including elections, Super Bowls, Final Fours, Kentucky Derbies, and even overseas covering military action. I feel like my very valuable experience helps me help the clients I work with.

Let’s face it. Video marketing is taking over. It’s not a wave of the future, it is here now. I look at a website or social media as a welcome mat to your business. How do you want to welcome people? Hand them a novel and read the whole thing? Or do you want them to see a video that can explain everything your business does?
